Madison Broad Wins Bronze At Canadian Trials

Wallaceburg’s Madison Broad won a bronze medal to open the Canadian Swimming Trials in Edmonton, Alberta Thursday.

She was third in the 100m backstroke with a time of 1:00.63.

Broad, who swims locally for the Chatham Y Pool Sharks, has two more competitions in the Trials.

Chatham’s Genevieve Sasseville and Kendra Polewski are also at the event.

Broad is committed to swim at the NCAA level for Toledo.
