Ontario Junior Girls Championships Open Today At Maple City

Maple City Country Club will be hosting the Investors Group Under-19 Ontario Junior Girls Golf Championship beginning today.

Rounds, which are open to the public, will be today and tomorrow with start times from 7:30am to approximately 11:30 am. The low 42 scores and ties will continue to July 11 and 12 with start times from 7:30am to approximately 10am.

Five Maple City Country Club members will be competing in the event.

Brooke MacKinnon, who competes in the NCAA for the University of Hartford, and Tess Scaman, who plays NCAA golf for Post University are the top home course competitors. Also competing from Maple City are Karolyn Rombouts, Maddux Swayze, and Hannah Butzer.

As well, Tilbury’s Hailey Katona, who is currently rated 17th in Ontario, and placed 15th in last year’s Junior championships, and is a member of Team Ontario will be participating.
