Blades Bring Back Veteran MacVoy
Earlier Kier Cumming, 19, of Chatham came back to the club after playing professional hockey in Sweden last year. He had been in the Ukraine for a tryout in another professional league before returning home last weekend.
MacVoy, who played most of the 2016-17 season with the Chatham Maroons, came to the Blades in early January of that year, but shortly after his arrival he was injured and had played only three games before returning for the final playoff game of the season.
Last year MacVoy again started the year with the Maroons before joining his hometown Amherstburg Admirals late in the season
Over two partial seasons MacVoy suited up for 63 Maroon games scoring two goals and adding 17 assists.
The signing of Cumming and MacVoy brings the number of players on cards to date to 15.
The others are veterans Dede Cato, Drew Marlatt, Nick Delyzer, Steven Funk, Derek Hueni, Noah Tetrault (two seasons with the Wallaceburg Lakers), Christian Moccia, Colton Shoemaker, Ryan Malott, goalie Chris DeWulf, and rookies Cam Wheeler, Malcolm Campbell and Sebastian Stubberfield.
