Former Maroon Gursoy Headed To Charlottetown

Former Chatham Maroons forward Kevin Gursoy will play for the Charlottetown Islanders this season, after the Islanders acquired him from the Saint John Sea Dogs

“Would like to thank @sjseadogs for the past season, and all the memories/friendships that came with it, especially with my billet family. Saint John will forever be a 2nd home. That being said I’m thrilled to join @islandershky for a new chapter, can’t wait to get things started!‬” Gursoy stated on social media.

Gursoy was the Western Conference’s rookie points leader and a member of the rookie all-star team in his one season with the Chatham Maroons.

Last year, his rookie QMJHL campaign, saw Gursoy, a LaSalle product, collect 11 goals and 18 points in 60 games.
