The Blenheim Blades have strengthened their Provincial Junior Hockey League Stobbs Division 2018-19 roster thanks to the return of their leading scorer of two years ago, Kier Cumming.

Back, after playing professional hockey last season in Sweden for the Arvika Ice Bears, the 19-year-old forward will be a huge addition to the club.

He had planned on playing pro in Ukraine this season, but things did not work out to his satisfaction and he returned home.

Cumming played in the 2015-16 season as a 16-year-old rookie with the Blades, and then led the club in scoring with 55 points on 24 goals and 31 assists in 2016-17. His total was good enough for the fifth spot in league scoring.

In his rookie season, he scored six goals and added five assists for 11 points.
