Lakers GM Steps Down
The Wallaceburg Lakers General Manager has relinquished his role within the organization, nine days before the start of the PJHL pre-season.
Ritch Kanally, GM of the Lakers for the past three years, has cited family health issues for his resignation.
Kanally thanked the organization and its fanbase in a statement released Thursday morning:
“I would like to thank the Lakers entire organization, board, fans, sponsors, staff, and in particular the players. I have enjoyed my time in the PJHL but for family reasons have decided to return home to spend more time with my father for the time being. I am and will continue to be a big supporter of the Lakers and the PJHL going forward and wish them both nothing but success”
No replacement has been named. Lakers President Darryl Lucio anticipates a quick turn-around as resumes are already anticipated.

The Lakers organization thanks Ritch for his service and support.
