Rookie Diamonds Win LaSalle Tournament

The Chatham Diamonds Major Rookie Team went 5-0 on the weekend in the LaSalle Tournament to capture the Championship.

Chatham opened the tournament Friday defeating Beamsville 14-7.

The Diamonds continued to heavily outscore their opponents on Saturday beating Milton 18-6, and Ingersol 16-2.

Sunday, advancing to the semi-finals, Chatham again faced Milton, this time winning 12-2 to advance to the championship game against host LaSalle.

The Major Rookie Chatham Diamonds put an exclamation mark on their tournament in the gold medal game, beating LaSalle 16-1 to take the championship.
