Raaymakers To Play At NHL Rookie Tournament With Columbus
Joseph Raaymakers will wear a Columbus Blue Jackets uniform as the Chatham netminder has been invited to play for the Blue Jackets at the annual Traverse City NHL Prospect Tournament.
Raaymakers is entering his final OHL campaign, and is coming off his best season, backstopping the London Knights. He had a 29-13-1-1- record, along with a .910 save percentage and 2.84 GAA.
Undrafted at the NHL level, Raaymakers has twice been to NHL Rookie Tournaments, with the Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Rangers.
At the close of last season, Raaymakers made his professional hockey debut, suiting up in a game for the ECHL’s Cincinnati Cyclones.
The tournament, which is hosted by the Detroit Red Wings will take place from September 7-11 in Traverse City, Michigan.
