Chatham-Kent’s contingent of OHL players is smaller this season with the graduation of James McEwan and Trent Hope, while Levi Tetrault is playing in Leamington, and Nolan Gardiner in Chatham.

Grayson Ladd and the Windsor Spitfires open their season against the Guelph Storm Thursday, September 20 in Windsor at 7:05pm. Ladd was traded to the Spitfires midseason last year. He finished his rookie campaign with 6 assists and a plus-10 rating. Ladd was also a member of Canada’s U18 selection camp this summer.

Joseph Raaymakers is entering his final Junior season, competing with the London Knights where he starred last year. In 46 games with the London Knights, Raaymakers collected a 2.84 GAA and .910 save percentage. London opens Friday, September 21 at 7:30pm at home against the Windsor Spitfires.

Brendan Harrogate is also entering his overage season in the OHL. Harrogate will suit up for the Oshawa Generals. Harrogate had 10 goals and 25 points last season. Oshawa opens on the road September 21 against the Kingston Frontenacs at 7:00pm.

Brady Pataki and the Moncton Wildcats open their QMJHL season September 20 at Acadia-Bathurst at 7pm. Pataki had 15 points in 47 games last season with Moncton.

Dylan Schives and the Quebec Remparts open the QMJHL year September 22 at home against Rimouski at 3pm.
