Maroons Acquire Fisher Twins
The Chatham Maroons have acquired a pair of scoring threats from the Komoka Kings in the form of twins Brett Fisher and Kyle Fisher of London.
“We are very excited to announce the addition of Kyle and Brett Fisher to our team. The two of them bring character, Speed and a high skill level to go with their hockey sense,” said Maroons coach Kyle Makaric. “They are going into their third year of junior B hockey and that experience will help our team moving forward. They had a good start today at practice and will be ready to go Sunday night for our home opener.”
The duo have two seasons of Junior B experience with the Komoka Kings/Lambton Shores and the St. Thomas Stars.
Alumni of the London Jr. Knights ‘AAA’ program, Kyle Fisher was a OHL draft pick of the Hamilton Bulldogs after leading the Alliance in assists in his Minor Midget campaign.
In their rookie Junior B season, the duo combined for 28 goals and 82 points.
Last season, the 18-year-old pair again scored close to a point per game before being traded from Komoka to St. Thomas for a playoff run.
The acquisition of the duo necessitated the move of Chatham’s Lucas Fancy to the Strathroy Rockets.
