Nick Wammes Wins National Bronze

Bothwell’s Nick Wammes won a bronze medal last week at the Canadian Track Cycling National Championships, his first time competing in the Elite National event.

“I am very happy with how this competition went and pleased with my performances,” Wammes wrote on social media. “A bronze medal in the sprint was amazing after a tough battle through the rounds. Thank you to everyone for all of your constant support and encouragement, this is only the beginning.”

The Team Ontario member won bronze in the sprint, and missed another bronze by 0.025 seconds in the keirin.
