When Chatham’s Cam Creechan visits the 2018 Grey Cup, it will be an experience and event he won’t soon forget. Creechan was selected to participate with the All-Canadian TITTAN team, as part of the Nissan Kickoff Project at the Grey Cup weekend in Edmonton later this month.

“It was a pretty cool experience being picked for the All-Canadian team,” said Creechan who currently kicks for the UCC Lancers senior football team.

“Knowing they only pick 70 kids and having me be one of them was pretty cool. I’m looking forward to the experience.”

Creechan, who played this past summer for the Essex Ravens, and is a Chatham-Kent Cougars alumni, will participate in a variety of off field events, and an exhibition game, before watching the CFL’s Grey Cup on November 25.

“I’ve never been to Edmonton and I can’t wait to go and just witness the Grey Cup and all the festivities that go along with it. It’s going to be so much fun,” he said.

Creechan has also played at the National and Provincial level with Team Ontario at the 2016 Spalding Cup, and was the kicker/punter for Team Ontario at the Canada Cup this past summer. Adding another experience to his resume, Creechan hopes is leads to a place to play football at the post secondary level.

“My plan for the future is to go to a post secondary school and play football at a higher level. That is my goal.”
