It looked like the Wallaceburg Lakers were destined for their first win of the season. Wallaceburg was leading 4-3 with less than 4-minutes left in the game.

The Wheatley Sharks however, had other ideas, staging a late comeback and taking a 6-4 win. Mitch Krieger scored the tying goal, while Dawson Iles scored the winner and empty net insurance, to cap off a hat trick in the game, which also saw him score in the second period.

Also hitting the scoresheet for Wheatley were Braedon Caetano and Carter Comeau.

Myles Fraser scored a pair for Wallaceburg, and Brian Gevaert and Noah Labonte each had one goal.
