Wright Competing in Madrid

A Chatham athlete is in Spain this week.

Patricia Wright is competing in the Karate World Championships in Madrid.

Wright previously won gold in 2016 the Senior World Karate Federation Championships in Austria in the para-athletes division.

Wright suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury in 2010 when she was struck by a vehicle.

She has since  become an accomplished Brown Belt, placing in international competitions in British Columbia and Las Vegas before her 2016 victory in Austria.

Wright begins competition in Madrid on Thursday.
