Council To Discuss New Twin Pad Arena Tonight
It has been a common topic at Chatham-Kent Council meetings over the last several years, but this will be the new Council and Mayor’s first opportunity to discuss a new twin pad arena for Chatham-Kent.
Part of many of Chatham-Kent’s incoming politicians’ platforms, a new twin pad arena for Chatham has long been a hot topic in the community.
Tonight at Chatham-Kent Council, the new group will discuss previous reports and recommendations, and begin to put forward a vision for the new venue in Chatham-Kent.
Most recently, the debate between a 2,200 seat and 4,200 seat arena were raised, with the new twin pad arena set to replace both Memorial Arena and Erickson Arena in Chatham.
Council is also looking to hold Public engagement meetings to aid in the decision making behind this plan.
