Brandon Montour Traded To The Buffalo Sabres

Former Tilbury hockey player Brandon Montour has been traded to the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres from the Anaheim Ducks prior to Monday’s NHL Trade Deadline.

Montour was traded for a 1st round draft pick, and prospect Brendan Guhle.

In 62 games this season Montour, a defenseman, has 5 goals and 25 points. Last season he had 32 points in 80 games, his first full NHL season.

Montour is a former AHL First Team All-Star and All-Rookie Team member, an NCAA Hockey East All-Rookie Team member, the GOJHL Midwestern Conference Best Defenseman, and USHL Best Defenseman, First All-Star Team member, and Player of the Year.
