Brochu, Kings Shutout Lakeshore In Game One
The Dresden Kings shut down, and shutout the Lakeshore Canadiens in game one of their PJHL Stobbs Division semifinal.
PJHL Stobbs Division rookie of the year Brett Brochu made 27 saves in Dresden’s 3-0 victory.
Scoring for the Kings were Elijah Duquette, Lucas Spence, and Greg Hay. Defender Nolan Ross had a pair of assists.
The Kings entered the series as the third ranked team, having finished the regular season a single point behind second place Lakeshore.
Dresden led by a score of 1-0 unti 3:24 left in the third when Spence scored to provide the Kings with security. Hay added to their lead on the powerplay with less than two minutes to play.
Game two is Wednesday night in Dresden at 7:30pm.
