Former Cyclones Goalie Scores OT Winner And Posts Shutout, See Video
Former Chatham-Kent Cyclones goalie Anthony Hurtubise did the unthinkable, he scored a double overtime game winning goal, and posted a shutout simultaneously.
Playing for the Junior B St. Thomas Stars, Hurtubise shot the puck into the empty net while their opponents the Komoka Kings pulled the goalie.
Hurtubise who backstopped the Cyclones in 2013-2014, the same year he was drafted by the OHL’s Windsor Spitfires, could be the only goalie in hockey history to score the game winning goal and post a shutout in the same game.
Hurtubise, who hails from Sarnia, Ontario made 27 saves in the 1-0 win.

Why was their goalie pulled in double ot?
Because they needed to win. They needed 2 points. That was the final OT
Why not at least have a shootout? Dumb to end after 2nd OT!
