Kings Advance, Blades Eliminated

The Dresden Kings advanced to round two of the PJHL Stobbs Division playoffs, eliminating the Blenheim Blades with a 6-3 win Monday to take their series four games to one.

Dawson Winchester, Nolan Vandenboorn, Eric Carter, Greg Hay, Derek Shaw, and Brendan Ritchie all scored for the Kings, who entered the series as the third ranked team against the number six Blades.

Dede Cato ended his Junior hockey career scoring two goals for the Blenheim Blades. Fellow overager Steven Funk also scored.

The Blenheim Blades graduating class includes Cato, Funk, Drew Marlatt, and Will Tetzlaff.
