Kings Ready For A Playoff Run
That said, according to Kings General Manager Jason Badder, the organization isn’t looking any farther than the first round and their match up against the rival Blenheim Blades.
“Our expectations going into the playoffs are to be prepared for our first round opponent,” said Badder. “No games will be easy in the playoffs. This league is strong from 1-8 and if you don’t come ready to play every night, than you may not be around long in the playoffs.”
Dresden finished with a very strong 29-9-0-2 record this season, and feature a roster heavy with Junior B experienced players.
The Kings were paced by Stobbs Division scoring champion Nolan Vandenboorn, who had 42 goals and 71 points while appearing in all 40 games for Dresden.
Despite their strong season, and a heavily veteran roster, Badder says hard work will be the primary focus for the Kings, who are taking nothing for granted.
“As a team we are focusing on working hard, competing and being mentally prepared for the ups and downs in the playoffs.”
The PJHL Stobbs Division playoffs will open this week. Dresden hosts Blenheim Monday, February 4 at 8pm.
