The Dresden Kings took a stranglehold, going up 3-1 in their opening round series against the Blenheim Blades after a 4-2 win Sunday night.

Cory Lucier, Brantley Kuipers, Lucas Spence, and Nolan Vandenboorn scored for the Kings, while Dawson Winchester had a pair of assists.

The game was tied 2-2 heading into the third, with Blenheim goals from Cameron Symons and Dede Cato, before Spence broke the deadlock in what would stand as the game winning goal.

Brett Brochu made 23 saves in the win.

A potentially deciding game five will take place Monday at 8:20pm in Dresden.
