Maroons Fight For OT Win Over Stars

The Chatham Maroons showed they can win close games, edging the St. Thomas Stars 3-2 in overtime Sunday night in Chatham.

Tristan Lewis made 27 saves in net, and Nolan Gardiner scored the overtime winner with assists from Sean O’Brien and Matt Murray.

The overtime winner was Gardiner’s second of the game.

The game was played primarily at even strength, as only three penalties were called in the game.

Dane Johnstone had the other Chatham Maroons goal.
