Peewee Lightning Win Gold

The Peewee Lightning opened their tournament defeating one of the host Riverside teams 7-0, before tying LaSalle Sports Zone. The following day, the Lightning closed out their round robin play with a 5-1 win over another of the host Riverside team’s.
Facing Strathroy in the semi-finals, South Kent worked for a 5-2 win sending them to the gold medal game.
In the gold medal contest, the Lightning played the same LaSalle Sports Zone team they had tied earlier in the tournament, but this time walked away with a 3-2 win and the tournament title.
