Varsity Football Will Return To Chatham-Kent This Year
After multiple seasons out of action, the Chatham-Kent Cougars will again be offering a varsity football program this season.
“Biggest news, we have in 2019 is our new Varsity team in the Ontario Football Conference this year,” said Cougars president and Varsity head coach Selwyn Jordan.
The Varsity team will be made up of players born in 2000, 2001, 2002.
This is the first Cougars entry at the varsity level since 2016.
“Entering this division will be a welcomed challenge for the Chatham-Kent area,” said Jordan. “We will be drawing on past Cougar players from our Junior Varsity teams from the past 3 years.”
“Our club is looking forward to the challenge.”
The Cougars will also run teams at the Junior Varsity, Bantam, and Peewee levels.
