Negri Earns Provincial Silver

Emma Negri of Blenheim competed in shot put in the 2019 MTA Indoor Provincial Championships at the Toronto Track & Field Centre this past weekend.

With a personal best throw of 7.33m, nearly a 30cm improvement on her previous PB that she set just 3 weeks ago, she earned the silver medal in the Atom girls division.

The Atom division is 2007 and 2008 born, so girls who are turning 11 and 12 this year. There were 9 girls competing in her division and over half the field were 2nd year Atoms.

After a couple of weeks of much deserved downtime, Negri will resume her training for the outdoor season which starts up in May. She will compete in both shot put and discus.
