The Schmalz Cup, Ontario Jr C’s holy grail, and two Chatham born goaltenders and their teams are fighting for one spot. Nolan Hakr and his Lakeshore Canadiens currently enjoy a 3-2 series lead, but
Caleb Pinsonneault’s Exeter Hawks are sure to be a different team on home ice tonight (Saturday, March 30).

Hakr with a birth year of 98 is in his fourth season of junior, his first three in Mooretown, and now
with the always powerful Canadiens. He played in 22 regular season games earning 15 wins and posting
a 2.04 GAA. He has only got into one post season game against Wheatley where he and the Canadiens
got a 4-3 win. Since then Lakeshore has been going with their overage tender, Eric Morneau.

Pinsonneault is a 2000,in his first year of junior hockey. In regular season he appeared in 20 regular
season games , three with Dorchester before being traded to the Hawks. He had 15 wins and a combined GAA of 2.82. In the post season , Caleb appeared in 9 games , with 6 wins. At times Pinsonneault has had to carry the full duty, as his partner has been out with injury. He and his Hawks upset the first place Dorchester Dolphins to capture the Yeck division championship, with Pinsonneault earning two of the wins. Since that series the Hawks have been going with their veteran goaltender.

So like all good teammates Hakr and Pinsonneault work hard in practice, and be sure they are ready
to go when opportunity arrives.
