Arena Activists Hosting Meeting
A local group of arena supporters will host a meeting to present their ideas this week
“On April 30th, we will be presenting the project that we have put together to educate the public on all aspects about the Sports & Entertainment Centre we hope to soon have built,” wrote Nathan Trudell from the ‘Build The Complex Chatham-Kent’ Facebook page.
The event will take place Tuesday, April 30 at 7pm at Country View Golf Course.
“We will explain why we are hoping to have council to vote on our proposal in the very near future. We will have conversation with guests that we have invited if they are able to attend and we will also be having a Q & A session afterwards to answer all of the publics questions & concerns. We will be doing draws for prizes for those who attend. We also invite the media to attend this event. There will be documentation released to everyone that summarizes the information we presented.”
The group, which has no ties to the Municipality, and simply acts as an advocacy group, wants a new $75-80 million complex built on the former Navistar property, featuring a 4000+ seat arena as part of a twin-pad complex. They are also seeking other sports and recreation development on the surrounding property.
Hmm
Sounds interesting I might just attend
