Two Chatham Pools Sharks, Madison Broad and Genevieve Sasseville, will be swimming for Team Canada as a result of their excellent performances at the Canadian Swimming Trials this past weekend at the Pan Am Pool in Scarborough. Trials is the highest level of Canadian swimming and brings together the absolute best of Canada to compete for spots on National Teams. This was an open age meet where swimmers are not divided by age, and also featured top swimmers from several other countries.

This year, Trials was the selection meet for several teams, including World Juniors and the Pan Am games.

The Pan Am Games (swimming) will be held August 6-10 in Lima, Peru and World Juniors will be held in Budapest, Hungary from August 20-25.

Next up for the Senior Sharks are Eastern Canadian Championships in Quebec City.
