Dane Fox Not Returning To Nurnberg, Now A Free Agent
“Nürnberg, Danke for the past 2 years! The loudest fans I’ve played in front of and a great group of teammates,” he wrote.
After two seasons in Germany’s too professional league, Fox will be looking for a new team, and potentially new league next season.
After a strong first season with Nurnberg where he collected 16 goals and 30 points in 52 games, Fox’s production slipped to 6 goals and 12 points in 34 games this year.
Fox spent 3 seasons in the ECHL prior to heading overseas. Before his pro career, Fox was the OHL overage player of the year, scoring 64 goals and 107 points for the Erie Otters, earning himself a contract with the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks.
