Wallaceburg Lakers Hosting Spring Camp

The Wallaceburg Lakers are hosting a spring camp April 29 and 30 in Chatham at Thames Campus Arena.

Although the fate of the team has not been announce publicly, the team’s hockey operations are continuing preparations for the coming season.

“As of last year, we were a young hockey club. We’re still going to be young again this year, but hopefully some of the kids we had last year will be coming back. We’re also looking to pick up some midget kids out of Wallaceburg to come out and play,” Lakers general manager and head coach Ken Shine told 99.1 CKXS FM.

The Lakers are asking players to register on their website.

Rumours swirled earlier this year after the Lakers applied to move the team to Tilbury.
