Nicholas, Canada Look To Secure Olympic Bid

With another top performance in this week’s HSBC Rugby Sevens event in British Columbia, Blenheim’s Breanne Nicholas and Team Canada can all but guarantee they’ll compete in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The top four teams from the series will receive automatic births into the Olympic Games, and Canada currently sits 2nd, only 6-points back from top ranked New Zealand.

Canada gets underway May 11 against Brazil in Langley, British Columbia. They play their second game of the day against Ireland, and wrap up that evening against Australia to end round robin play.
