Red Devils Coach Happy With Team’s Performance
Head Coach Jamie Knight was specifically happy with his team’s performance Sunday against the London Blue Devils, a 12-6 win in front of a home crowd in Dresden.
“We played very disciplined and our defence played well in front of Lucas (Jacobs),” Knight said of his team’s win, which came less than 24 hours after a close loss to the Point Edward Pacers in Bothwell.
“Joel Shepley (assistant coach) had our offence firing,” Knight continued.
“After being down 4-2 we just stuck with the process and rattled off 8 straight goals in the 2nd period.”
While the Red Devils’ top offensive players put up points, Knight was particularly pleased with the full team effort.
“It was a full team effort with all 18 runners contributing.”
Wallaceburg hosts the Niagara Thunderhawks Saturday, May 4 at 4pm, and play the Hamilton Bengals Sunday, May 5 at 4pm. Both games are at Ken Houston Memorial Agricultural Arena in Dresden.
