The Wallaceburg Red Devils were mere seconds from earning a third win Saturday in OLA Junior B lacrosse. The Devils will have to wait until Sunday to see if they can get that win when they face the Hamilton Bengals at 4 pm, in Dresden.

With his team down a goal in the dying seconds, and their goaltender pulled. Niagara Thundercats forward Michael Wilson was able to get a ball past Devils tender Cecil Jacobs , to tie things up at 7 – 7 , with 5.5 seconds left on the clock. Jacobs had another strong outing for his team and was rewarded with the # 1 game star.

The two teams played an additional ten minute period, with both teams having chances, but nothing being settled. The game was a well played defensive battle, with both teams doing a good job in their own ends. It was also a game with few penalties, something that Wallaceburg had struggled with in earlier games.

The Devils Tyler Davis had a five point (2G, 3A) game and was the game leading scorer.
