Jordan Durston Enjoys “Unreal Experience” With Buffalo
“It was an unreal experience, still cant believe we lost, but honestly it was a great year, we had lots of fun and honestly I can’t ask for a better season of pro lax, other than our ending,” said Durston of his season.
In 18 games this season, Durston had 15 goals and 47 points. He believes in Buffalo, and hopes that any local lacrosse fan who hasn’t seen an NLL game, makes their way to Buffalo next season.
“Pro lacrosse is so fun, the friends you make and being able to travel every weekend with the boys is amazing. Banditland is the best place to watch a game and we have the best fans in the world, if you haven’t been to a game I’d say go to Buffalo, unreal experience.”
Now playing Major Series Lacrosse with the Six Nations Chiefs during the NLL offseason, Durston will also be in Chatham-Kent this summer to run youth camps with Leave Your Mark Lacrosse, something he’s looking forward to.
“Love being home and being able to help, it’s cool to see the look on a kids face when you help them with something and it actually works,” said Durston.
“It’s great to be around and help not only the kids that don’t know lax, but also the kids that do.”
Tweaking or helping with a shot, or even giving pointers on small things in a game. I loved when older guys would give me little tips, or help with something during a game or in the yard. I always listened to the older guys and I hope kids are listening to me when I help.”
With the success Durston has had on the professional level, the youth undoubtedly will be listening, and seeing more of the local lacrosse product next season in the NLL.
