Marandee Hunter Set To Backstop St. Thomas University Tommies
Hunter played last season for the Chatham Outlaws Midget ‘AA’ team where she posted a record of 19-3-5 with 8 shutouts.
“Seeing Marandee play the first thing you notice is her athleticism, but her compete level is what separates her from a lot of her peers,” said St. Thomas University head coach Peter Murphy in a release. “She does everything she can to stop a puck. On top of that she is very eager to learn and we see her improving quickly this season.”
For Hunter, the Tommies, and St. Thomas University, locates in New Brunswick, were also a fit.
“When I toured the campus everyone there gave me a warm welcome. St. Thomas will provide great education options to help me pursue my desired career. Above all I chose St. Thomas University because of the community and family-oriented atmosphere,” Hunter said in the press release.
Last season, St. Thomas captured the AUS title, and played for a USports National title.
