Maroons’ Leading Scorer Maddux Rychel Re-signs

Rychel will also serve as an assistant captain this season. He was acquired last season, alongside newly named Team Captain Griffin Robinson.
Last season, split between Chatham and the Leamington Flyers, Rychel had 17 goals and 64 points in 48 games.
“He is an elite passer and has a mind for the game that can’t be taught. He is a force on the power play and one of the best playmakers in the entire GOJHL,” the Maroons’ press release said.
“He was an excellent addition to our room last year and brings a great amount of experience and leadership to our team. He is a person that the other players flock to be around and is the most requested line mate.”
Rychel has played 175 career regular season GOJHL games for LaSalle, Leamington, and Chatham, notching 150 points.
He also has 2 assists in 10 OHL games with the Windsor Spitfires.
