Matteis Wins Gold, Two Silvers At Canadian Junior Swimming Championships

Quinn Matteis was fast in the water this week, winning three medals at the Canadian Junior Swimming Championships in Calgary, Alberta.

The 14-year-old swimmer, who represents the Chatham Y Pool Sharks, won a gold medal in the 400m freestyle race. He touched in a time of 4:07.94.

He added a pair of silvers in the 800m freestyle (8:31.81) and 1500m freestyle (16:30.87) races.

Matteis swam for Team Ontario earlier this summer, and won a Provincial Open Water gold.
