Riverview Gaming A Major Supporter of Chatham-Kent Sports

Chatham-Kent is filled with businesses willing to help local sports team, athletes, and organizations, but few do it to the scale of Riverview Gaming Centre.

Riverview Gaming Centre works with over 100 charities every year to raise funds in Chatham-Kent, supporting hockey, softball, bowling, gymnastics, taekwondo, skating, ringette, swimming, and much more at the Junior and Minor levels.

According to Carla Fox, a member of River Gaming’s team, there are many benefits for Chatham-Kent sports organizations to utilize Riverview Gaming Centre’s offerings, and many clubs have been working with their business for years.

“Many of these charities have been patterning with Riverview Gaming Centre for years,” said Fox. “They use the funds to do many great things in our CK communities. Charities like this fundraising option because they receive their funds directly into their accounts, they do not have to handle money and can budget this money into their yearly budgets.”

Interested organizations simply provide volunteers to work at the bingos, and in turn, receive a portion of the proceeds.

Organizations can also host a designated Fundraising Night, selling tickets to raise money.

“Riverview Gaming Centre has been involved in the community of Chatham Kent for over 30 years,” said Fox.

“We have helped charities raise money to make our community a better place to live, work, and play. We employee over 40 local people and local charities benefit from the services we provide. We are proud supporters of CK and look forward to working with many more charities in the years to come,” she said, pointing to their once monthly Riverview Gaming Gives Back event, which donates to groups including the Salvation Army, Operation Cover Up, the Chatham-Kent Women’s Centre, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and the Chatham-Kent Hospice.

Knowing the need in Chatham-Kent, Riverview Gaming Centre is working hard to make sports accessible for all in Chatham-Kent, and to build the community.
