Several Chatham-Kent Athletes At Pan American Games In Lima

Several Chatham-Kent athletes will compete over the coming weeks at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.

The Pan American Games feature almost 7000 athletes from 41 countries across North America, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean.

Madison Broad of Wallaceburg is part of Canada’s swimming team.

Nick Wammes of Bothwell will take to the track with Canada’s cycling team.

Breanne Nicholas of Blenheim is on Canada’s rugby roster.

As well, Bridget Carleton will travel as a reserve with Canada’s women’s basketball team, but will not be eligible to participate unless an injury occurs, due to the fact she was not on Canada’s original roster as she was expected to remain with the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun.
