Creechan Named To Top 100 Road To Gold Roster
Chatham’s Cam Creechan was beamed to the Road To gold top 100 roster this week, and initial step in being selected for Canada’s 45-man roster at the 2020 IFAF World Junior Championships.
The roster was comprised after seven identification camps across Canada, as well as the Football Canada Cup, and consists of players born 2001-2003.
“This is an exciting time for the Junior National Team as we get an opportunity to announce our top 100,” said Junior National Team head coach Steve Sumarah in a news release. “This has been one of the hardest things that we’ve been involved in with the committee – so many good players in this age category, so many great players wanting to represent their country.”
A top 70 will be selected to participate in a Red-White game in February, followed by the announcement of the 45
Man roster following this game.
“We’re very excited about this first list, look forward to tracking these guys and being ready for our May camp to determine who is going to be representing our country,” Sumarah said.
