Genevieve Sasseville will represent Team Canada this month at the World Junior Swimming Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

The event takes place from August 20-25. Sasseville qualified with a strong performance at the Canadian Swimming Trials in April.

Sasseville has been preparing for the World Juniors training with team Canada. She travelled to Vancouver training as part of a Swimming Canada specialized relay camp. Sasseville also competed as part of  Team Canada’s Youth team at the Mel Zajac International meet in Vancouver,  finishing in the top 10 in three events.

Earlier this spring Sasseville won a trio of races at the Speedo Eastern Swim Championships in Quebec City. She won the 200m free, 50m butterfly, and 100m butterfly, and also came second in the 200m butterfly at this event.
