Jessie McPherson was named to Canada’s National U18 Women’s hockey team

Jessie McPherson of Chatham has been named to Canada’s National Women’s U18 hockey team.

McPherson, who played this season with the PWHL’s Cambridge Rivulettes has finished in the top 10 in league statistics in her first two seasons.

The Chatham Outlaws, Kent Cobras, and Chatham-Kent Cyclones alumni posted a 9-6-4 record this past season with 4 shutouts, along with a 1.45 goals against average and .934 save percentage.

McPherson, who is committed to play NCAA division I hockey for the University of Vermont, will suit up for Canada this week in a three-game series against the United States.

She was one of three goaltenders names to the U18 roster.
