Lambton-Kent Fastball Playoffs This Weekend
The first place Kent Bridge Huskies will face off against the fourth place Wallaceburg Warriors in an all Chatham-Kent opening game of the Lambton-Kent Ladies Fastball League.
Kent Bridge finished with a 12-3-1 record, while Wallaceburg finished with an 8-6-2 record.
The two teams met earlier this week tying 3-3 in Wallaceburg.
Makailey Bray pitched the first 3 innings allowing 1 run on 2 hits while striking out 2 for Kent Bridge. Hannah Roesch pitched the fourth and fifth allowing no runs on 1 hit and striking out 2. Aliyah Whiteye pitched the final 2 innings allowing 2 runs on 1 hit and two walks while striking out 2. Sarah Vellinga had an RBI triple while Makailey Bray had a single and 2 RBI’s. Lauren Nicholson, Cassie Whiteye, Elissa Noah, Shayna Carey and Sarah Ytsma all had singles.
The two teams place Friday at 6:30 in Courtright as the top four teams play a double knockout tournament.
