Where Are They Now? Cheyne Matheson

Where are they now will feature a local hockey player weekly, who has graduated from one of Chatham-Kent’s hockey teams to higher levels.

This week, we’re looking at Cheyne Matheson.

A Wheatley product, Cheyne Matheson is playing Division 1 hockey in Sweden this season with Kiruna AIF.

It’s his first professional season in Sweden after playing three years in the BeNeLiga with Liege Bulldogs. Last season he scored 35 goals and 69 points in 20 games in the league.

He spent the 2008-2009 season with the Wheatley Sharks notching 16 points in 29 games.
