Raaymakers To Play For StFX University
Netminder Joseph Raaymakers is going to school, as he’s committed to play for the St. Francis Xavier University X-Men men’s hockey team.
“We are very pleased to add Joseph to our program,” Coach Brad Peddle said in a news release. “Joseph is a high end veteran OHL goaltender with significant experience, giving us a very solid tandem in nets. He brings five years of experience in the OHL coming from two strong teams in Sault Ste. Marie and London, and has attended a couple of NHL camps. He is a very good goaltender and strong competitor with a great work ethic who will be a tremendous addition to our group.”
Raaymakers spent 5 seasons in the OHL, sitting among league statistical leaders much of his career.
Originally drafted by the Soo Greyhounds, Raaymakers closed out his Junior career with the London Knights.
