Brochu Fighting For Time In Crowded London Knights Crease
The London Knights will rely on veteran goaltender Jordan Kooy, a 7th round NHL pick of the Vegas Golden Knights, to carry the load this season.
Behind Kooy however, is a battle between Tilbury’s Brett Brochu, and Waterloo’s Matt Onuska for a roster spot and playing time.
Onuska, recently acquired by the Knights from the Kingston Frontenacs, won a Sutherland Cup last season backstopping the Junior B Waterloo Siskins.
Brochu, a Tilbury product, spent last season backstopping the Dresden Kings, where he was the PJHL Stobbs Division Rookie of the Year.
The London Knights are planning to carry all three into the season, and allow their performance to dictate playing time.
