Spence Makes Steelheads Roster
The OHL’s Mississauga Steelheads announced Monday that they’ve signed Chatham product Craig Spence.
Spence was in a competitive situation this preseason with several touted defenders vying for a roster spot on a deep Mississauga blueline.
“We are pleased to add Craig to our defensive core. He plays hard every shift and has really picked up on the way we want our team to play,” said Steelheads Head Coach and General Manager James Richmond in a team news release. “Right shot defence are a premium in today’s game and Craig will grow into a solid OHL player. We look forward to seeing him in the blue and white very soon. Welcome to the Steelheads Family!”
Spence, who was drafted in the 7th round by the Mississauga Steelheads in 2018 out of the Chatham-Kent Cyclones organization, spent last season playing Junior B with the Chatham Maroons.
