Maroons Hire Roeszler As New General Manager
There is a changing of the guard in the Chatham Maroons organization, as they have brought back a familiar face in Tyler Roeszler to serve as the new general manager.
Roeszler served as an assistant coach and head coach with the Maroons from 2014-2016 before stepping down.
A former Maroons player himself, Roeszler replaces owner Bill Szekesy as GM.
Maroons head coach Kyle Makaric says he’s looking forward to working with Roeszler to continue to build on the strong recruiting class the team brought in this offseason.
“Excited to bring in a local hockey mind who will help us in a lot of ways off the ice,” said Makaric. “His experience as a player and a coach and the views he has from that experience will help our group as we transition a young team to junior hockey. Tyler has a similar mindset on how the game should be played and having another set of eyes and ears with his attention to detail is a very positive addition to our group. Myself and the coaching staff looks forward to working with him this season.”
