McPherson Named To Team Ontario

Chatham’s Jessie McPherson will backstop Team Ontario at the 2019 U18 National Women’s Hockey Championships in Winkler, Manitoba.

The tournament will take place from November 5-9.

“This is an excellent opportunity for these athletes to experience how Hockey Canada operates at the highest level,” said Gina Kingsbury, director of women’s national teams in a Hockey Canada news release. “It’s an excellent display of talent for female hockey, and it’s a chance for these ladies to show how good they are.”

McPherson plays with the Cambridge Rivulettes of the PWHL, and also represented Team Canada’s U18 team this summer.

McPherson is committed to play for the University of Vermont next season.
