Chatham rugby player Jillian Vickery led the London St. George’s Rugby 7s team to a gold medal on Sunday at a rugby tournament in Fergus, Ontario.

The U15 London team went undefeated in pool play with Vickery scoring 5 try’s and converting 2. In semi-final action against Branford, St. George’s won 37-5 with Vickery scoring 6 try’s and converting one.

The finals saw the team winning gold with a score of 26-0 with Vickery scoring 3 try’s and 3 conversions bringing her total for the tournament to 82 points.

Vickery also plays rugby for the UCC Lancers.
